Pricing and what is included

How much does it cost to rent a dumpster in New Jersey?

Bin-Drop roll-off rentals start at $550 for a 10 yard, $595 for a 15 yard, $690 for a 20 yard, and $795 for a 30 yard, plus NJ sales tax. Your exact price depends on your county. Enter your ZIP at bindropdumpsters.com/order to see your local price in seconds.

What is included in the price?

Delivery, pickup, a 7 day rental period, and a set amount of disposal tonnage for your size. Tax is the only extra on a standard rental. There are no separate fuel or delivery fees on web orders.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. The only charges beyond your rental price are ones you control: extra days at $15 per day, weight over your included tonnage, mattresses at $35 each, and fees for prohibited materials or overfilled containers. All of it is disclosed before you book.

When do I pay?

Payment is due when you book. Any overage or extras are billed after the container is picked up and weighed.

Sizes and fit

What dumpster sizes does Bin-Drop offer?

Four roll-off sizes: 10 yard (12 ft long, 8 ft wide, 4.5 ft tall, 1 ton included), 15 yard (12 ft long, 8 ft wide, 4.5 ft tall, 2 tons), 20 yard (14 or 16 ft long, 8 ft wide, 4.5 ft tall, 2.5 tons), and 30 yard (20 ft long, 8 ft wide, 6.5 ft tall, 3.5 tons).

Which size do I need?

Most homeowners land on the 15 or 20 yard. A 10 yard handles a garage cleanout or small DIY project. A 15 yard fits most single room renovations and larger cleanouts. A 20 yard covers major cleanouts and roofing jobs. A 30 yard is for full renovations, estate cleanouts, and construction debris. Call us and we will help you pick before you book.

Will the dumpster fit in my driveway?

Almost always. Our 10 and 15 yard containers are 12 feet long and 8 feet wide, roughly the footprint of a minivan. Most driveways are at least 10 feet wide.

Will it damage my driveway?

We place wood planks under the wheels and the front of the container so it rests on wood, not directly on your pavement. In most cases there is no damage.

Where can the dumpster be placed?

On a flat, hard surface such as a driveway. We cannot place containers on slopes, soft ground, or property that does not belong to you. Street placement requires a permit or written permission from your town.

Rental period and weight

How long is the rental period?

7 days, weekends included.

Can I keep it longer?

Yes. Extra days are $15 per day. Call us and we will note it on your order.

How does the weight limit work?

Every rental includes a set tonnage based on size. We weigh the container at the disposal facility. Weight over your included tonnage is billed at $130 to $150 per ton depending on your county, prorated to the actual weight.

Can I fill it to the top?

Load it level with the top rail with nothing sticking out. Overfilled containers are unsafe to transport and may require sorting fees or a second trip.

What you can load

What can I put in the dumpster?

Household junk, furniture, general cleanout debris, construction and remodel debris such as drywall, lumber, flooring, and cabinets, roofing shingles and siding, and yard waste and brush.

What is prohibited?

Dirt, rocks, soil, and concrete (special containers are available by phone), tires, railroad ties, paints, oils, fuels, batteries and other flammables, asbestos, medical waste, hazardous materials, refrigerators, air conditioners and anything containing freon, and food waste.

Can I throw away a mattress?

Yes. Mattresses are $35 each, noted at checkout or billed after pickup.

Can I put dirt, rocks, or concrete in a regular dumpster?

No. Heavy masonry and fill material need dedicated containers. Call (201) 566-7719 and we will set up the right container for concrete, dirt, or rock.

Can I share the dumpster with a neighbor?

Yes. Stay within the weight limit and keep prohibited items out, and you can split it however you like.

Delivery, pickup, permits

How fast can you deliver?

Most jobs get next day delivery. Same day is sometimes possible depending on the schedule; call us to check.

Do I need to be home for delivery or pickup?

No. Leave clear placement instructions when you book. For pickup, make sure the load is level and the container is accessible.

How does pickup work?

Schedule it when you book, or call or email when you are done. We ask for 24 hours notice. After your 7 days we will not pick up the container until you tell us to, so you are never surprised.

Do I need a permit?

On your own driveway or property, usually no, but some NJ towns require a permit even for driveway placement. On the street, many NJ towns require a permit from the borough or township before delivery day. Not sure what your town requires? Call us and we will point you in the right direction.
